My Week in Numbers
Monday, July 25th, 2005This week I was completely anal about counting all the stuff I saw and number of times I did something, so here are my findings*:

Chemicals spilt in lab: 2 (Sodium Hydroxide & Methylene Chloride)
Glassware broken: 1 (25 mL Erlenmeyer flask)
Time at work: 15 hrs
Average outside temperature: 93 F/ 34 C
Thunderstorm(s): 1
Tornado(s): 0.76 (it passed close)
Distance travelled in car (10 day total): 298 mi/ 504 km
Number of gentlemen’s clubs/strip bars passed on way to school: 3
Number of times stopped: Sadly 0
Number of cop cars seen (while driving): 7
Number of cop cars seen (parked at donut shops/Starbucks/Einstein Bagels): 4
Number of yo-yo tricks attempted: 12
Yo-yo tricks succesfully performed: 2
Number of times yo-yo hit face/glasses: 2
Number of times went mountain biking: 4 (2 road/2 trail)
Number of bunny hops/jumps: 3
Number of bunny hops/jumps landed: 0.5 (I’m still working on it)
Number of wheelies: 0.36 (…almost there)
Number of times swimming: 3
Number of overweight people present (during swims): 6
Number of hot chicks in bikinis (during swims): 1 (some people have all the luck!)
Band practices: 2
BBQs: 1.5 (ran out of propane gas)
Packed sandwich lunches at work/school: 3
"Surprise sandwiches" (left in backpack from last week) found: 1
"Surprise sandwiches" eaten: 0.5 (before realizing that I did not pack a lunch)
Packets of instant noodles eaten (Maggi, Ramen, etc.): 1
Meals involving rice eaten: 4
Meals involving raw fish: 1
Patience and time left to finish this list: 0 (so let’s call it Pt. 1 for now)

*For those of you who are numerically-inclined, I did not tabulate all the frickin days/hours of the week so don’t email me saying "Hey you are missing 17 hours from the week. Did you get stuck in a time warp?" cause I will personally hunt you down and -expletive deleted-
